This dish can be served as a starter as well as side dish for rice or rotis. Foodsavory is pleased to present this simple and easy to make recipe.
Ingredients
Hard boiled eggs -4 nos
Salt-To taste
Red chilly powder -1 tbsp
Black pepper powder-1 tbsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Curry leaves- a few
Oil- for shallow frying (around 3 tbsp)
Method of preparation
Make slits (for the masala to get inside) in the boiled eggs without cutting them fully.
Make the masala paste with salt, red chilly powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder and little water.
Coat the boiled eggs with this paste properly (so that masala enters the slits made on the boiled eggs).
Keep it aside for around 20 minutes.
Now heat oil in a kadai / pan, put curry leaves and the masala coated eggs for shallow frying.
Fry till the outer coating turns golden brown. Change sides so that the eggs get fried evenly on all sides.
Spicy Fried Boiled Eggs are now ready to be served!
