Another healthy recipe from foodsavory especially aimed at kids who refuse to eat oats in porridge form. Oats is high in dietary fibers. It is an instant dosa recipe.

 

Ingredients

 

Oats-1 cup

Chirotti Rava – ½ cup

Cucumber -1 (medium sized)

Green chillies -1 (optional)

Salt to taste

Finely chopped coriander leaves – ½ cup

Hing (Asafoetida) powder – ½ tsp

Jeera (cumin seeds) – ½ tsp (optional as some kids may not like the taste of jeera)

Oil / ghee –For making dosas (Gingely oil or refined oil)

 

Method of preparation

Soak Oats and rava together for around 20 minutes.

Peel and grate the cucumber.

Transfer soaked oats and rava, grated cucumber, green chilly, jeera to a mixer jar.

Grind the ingredients to a smooth consistency.

Transfer the batter to a bowl; add salt, chopped coriander leaves and Hing (Asafoetida) powder.

This batter should be of medium to loose consistency.

Heat a griddle and spread the batter to make thin dosas .Cook on both sides in medium flame by smearing oil / ghee.

These dosas take more time to cook than ordinary dosas.

Serve hot dosas with coconut chutney of your choice or gun powder.
