I have recently tried this recipe at home when I invited my friends for dinner. They all loved it and even requested me for the recipe. I simply asked them to stay tuned to foodsavory site 🙂 . Pleased to share with you, – The Spaghetti and meatballs recipe.


Olive oil

Vegetable oil

Ground meat (pork) – 600 grams

Ground meat (beef) – 600 grams

Breadcrumbs – made from about 3 slices of bread with its crust removed

1/4th cup of dry breadcrumbs

Parmesan cheese – ½ cup (grated)

Parsley – 2 tablespoon (freshly chopped)

Nutmeg – 1/4th teaspoon

Black Pepper – 1 tablespoon (freshly ground)

Egg – 1 beaten egg

Salt to taste

 Spaghetti meat sauce

Warm Water – about 1/2 cup

Method of preparation

Blend together ground meat, Parmesan cheese, parsley, nutmeg, pepper, egg, breadcrumbs (both) and salt in warm water. Use your hand to form meatballs of size 1 ½ inch each. You would get about 20-22 meatballs.

Pour vegetable oil and olive oil in equal proportion into the cooking pan with 12 inch depth.  Pour oil enough to cook the meatballs.

Heat the oil and cook the meat balls in medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes (or cook the meat balls till the meatballs turns brown on all the sides). Drain the extra oil and place the meatballs on a plate covered with paper napkins to absorb the excess oil from the meatballs.

Heat the spaghetti meat sauce (recipe link for spaghetti meat sauce is given in the Ingredients section) in another cooking pan with a quantity enough for 20-22 meatballs which is cooked as per the instructions above.

Now carefully place the meatballs on the cooking pan containing the spaghetti meat sauce. Cover the cooking pan and allow the content to simmer on low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are properly cooked.

Serve it hot on cooked spaghetti and garnish it with grated Parmesan cheese. Surprise your friends with this lip smacking Spaghetti and meatballs recipe.

Note: Store the extra ‘cooked meatballs’ in a closed lid container and place it safely in a freezer for future use.
