Palak (Spinach) PooriPalak Poori

Poori is a deep fried Indian bread.

Palak Pooris are green Poori made out of spinach and is very delicious and healthy.



Palak (Spinach) – 2 bunches

Flour (Maida/Atta/mix of both)

Salt to taste.

Method of Preparation:

Boil water in a vessel and blanch the cleaned Palak for 2 minutes. (Do not close the vessel with lid in this process as the Palak may loose its color).

Drain the excess water. Cool the Palak (Spinach) and blend well.

Pour the Palak (Spinach) paste into a vessel and add flour & salt and then knead to a dough consistency for making Poori dough.

Make small lemon sized balls out of the dough.

Roll out the balls into small circles of medium thickness.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the rolled out Pooris.
