Masala shikhanjimasala Shikanji

An Indian version of lemonade with a dash of rock salt makes a refreshing summer drink. This drink is a good appetizer too.


Lemon -1

Ginger juice – 1 tbsp

Sugar- To taste

Jeera powder (Roasted cumin seeds powder) – a pinch

Mint leaves – 2

Rock salt (kala namak) – a pinch


Method of preparation

Squeeze the lemon juice.

Add lemon juice, ginger juice, sugar, jeera powder, mint leaves in a blender with little water. Blend well till the mint leaves are crushed and get mixed in the juice.

Transfer the contents to a glass, add more water if required and serve with ice cubes and a pinch of rock salt.

Note: You can vary the quantity of jeera powder, ginger juice, rock salt depending on the taste buds.
