
Ingredients
Chicken (boneless cut into small pieces) -1/2 kg
French beans (cut into long pieces) -8 nos
Green capsicum (Diced) -2 nos
Carrots (Thinly sliced)-2 nos
Sweet n’ sour sauce – 2 cups (The method of preparing sweet n’ sour sauce is mentioned at the end of the recipe. Otherwise use the sweet n’ sour sauce available off shelf in stores)
Onion (Diced) -2 nos
Red chilly powder – 1 tbsp
Oil – For deep frying
Salt – To taste
For making batter
Corn flour – 1 cup
Maida (refined flour) – 1 cup
Egg – 2 nos (beaten)
Finely chopped green chillies – 2 nos
Salt – To taste
Method of preparation
Marinate the chicken pieces with salt and red chilly powder and let it rest for half an hr.
Prepare the batter with the ingredients mentioned for batter preparation.
Take the marinated chicken pieces and put them in the batter and coat the batter all over the chicken pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the batter coated chicken pieces.
Drain excess oil by placing the deep fried chicken pieces in an absorbent paper.
Take another wide bottomed pan and heat around 2 tbsp of oil.
Add the chopped vegetables and cook in high flame for around 3-4 minutes.
Add the fried chicken pieces, salt and sweet n’ sour sauce.
Mix well and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve.
