 Dry Drumstick Curry

Ingredients:

Drumsticks – 3-4 Nos.

Grated Coconut – 3 tbsp

Chilli Powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp

Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp

Tamarind – 1/2″ ball

Jaggery – 1 small pc.

Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp

Asafoetida (hing) powder – 1 pinch

Cooking oil – 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method of Preparation:

Peel the drumsticks after thoroughly washing them casino online and cut into 1″ pieces.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they pop add the hing powder and cut drumsticks.

Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 2-3 minutes or till drumsticks are soft.

In a grinder take the coconut, chilli powder, turmeric powder, tamarind and garam masala powder and grind with minimal water to a coarse paste.

Add this to the drumsticks along with salt and jaggery and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add very little water so that the masala completely coats the drumsticks but does not get watery. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
